Report February 2020

 My absence today is due to the Area 4 Special Olympics Bowling competition taking place on the same day as our Detachment Meeting. An event I have been volunteering at for the past 6 years.

Our goal this year will again to reach $10,000 donated and 1,000 hours given as a detachment.

This year so far we have collected $1702 and hours given are 450 to date that I’m aware of.

We will hold a fundraiser again this year for Special Olympics so please stay tuned for more information on this.

Polar Bear Plunge this year in Seaside is February 22 anyone wishing to plunge with the Legion Family is welcome to join team Tequila out of Mystic Island Post 493 I am going to plunge again this year

Donations for Special Olympics can be handed to me or mailed to my home address of 19 Edison St. Bayville NJ 08721 how ever do not make checks payable to the Detachment of NJ. Make all donation checks out to Special Olympics NJ and in the note put SAL Donation.
