The Constitution and Bylaws Committee has set a deadline for all resolutions for this administrative year as April 1, 2017. Any resolution submitted for action by the Detachment Convention, whether for adoption by the Detachment of New Jersey, or for vote to forward onto the National Sons of The American Legion must be submitted to the Constitution and Bylaws Committee by this date.
The first meeting of the Constitution and Bylaws Committee was held on September 24, 2016. There were few attendees, but there was discussion about changes to the Detachment's Constitution and Bylaws. Information about the changes will be reported at the Detachment meeting in October.

The meeting will begin at 10am, and the agenda includes discussion of proposed updates to the Detachment's Constitution and Bylaws. Any member or squadron wishing to submit a resolution regarding the Detachment Constitution and Bylaws or a resolution for action by the Detachment Convention should attend this meeting.
